Nancy Tan Pua, 50, of Daly City must spend 34 months in federal prison, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White said Thursday in San Jose. Pua pleaded guilty last year to mail fraud, wire fraud, trafficking in counterfeit goods and money laundering. She was part of a scheme to sell counterfeit designer handbags on eBay and at a Richmond store.

Pua wired more than $2 million in 2002 and 2003 from thousands of eBay buyers to accounts in Switzerland, China and Malta.

Pua’s son Kevin, 29, was sentenced last year to five years’ probation for conspiracy. Another defendant, Johnny Lee Tan, 45, who is Nancy Pua’s brother, was previously sentenced to 18 months for money laundering.
