Vase Makes $9000 on eBay

A pottery vase she bought for five bucks at a rummage sale by a Bismarck woman, was appraised at $10,000 at the Antiques Roadshow a few years ago.

This week the owner took it to the I Sold it on eBay store, where it got a bid of $9000. The store says as soon as the item went up for sale, there was a lot of interest, probably because it`s unique.

“A lot of the glazed pieces that came from UND pottery at that time were smooth glazes. This one has more of a pictorial, more of a flower type pattern on it which makes it even more rare,” says Shawn Greenwood, with I Sold it on eBay.

The vase, was said to have been made in 1927.
