Stolen golf clubs sold on eBay

Published September 5th, 2007

Michala Judd sold stolen golf gear on eBay, Cambridge Crown Court was told.

Thirty-one-year-old Judd’s attempt to persuade a jury that she did not know the clubs were stolen failed and she was convicted in July of selling them on eBay.

Appearing for sentence yesterday, Judd, of Station Road, Ramsey, claimed a customer at a burger van offered her the clubs, as seconds, at a bargain price.

Judd was handed a 12- month jail sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid community work. She will also undergo 18 months of probation supervision and a 30-day basic skills course.
