eBay to focus on heavy commercial vehicles in Punjab & Haryana

e-Bay Motors India, an online business-to-business (B2B) market place, has said it would focus on trading in used heavy commercial vehicles (HCV) such as trucks and trailers in Punjab and Haryana.

“Punjab and Haryana are the largest contributors of HCV and trailers on B2B platform. These states are emerging as the largest hub for used trucks and trailers in the northern region. These factors promoted us to focus on HCV and tractor segments in these states,” e-Bay Motors India Private Limited Director (Motors) Amit Bhartiya said today.

Dealers from cities, including Moga, Bhatinda, Mandi Gobindgarh, Jagraon and Amritsar in Punjab, and Hisar, Rohtak in Haryana have shown keen interest in buying and selling of HCV and tractors from neighboring states through B2B platform.

“It is encouraging for us that people from small cities are graduating towards B2B market place,” he informed. Punjab and Haryana account for 8-10 per cent of the total dealers of eBay who carry out transactions through B2B mode.

“We have sold 1.5 lakh used vehicles in the country, with these states contributing significantly in it,” he said.

To boost its presence, the company plans to organise road shows and awareness programmes across the northern region.
