eBay Named Best Web 2.0 Developer

Published June 7th, 2007

eBay has been named the best overall Web 2.0 developer program, beating out Amazon, Google, MSN, PayPal and Yahoo, according to Evans Data’s Developer’s Choice: Web 2.0 Developer Programs survey.

Rankings were based on certification, documentation, developer support, case studies, solutions directories and Web services. Users of eBay ranked them best because of their strong Web services, which allow third party developers to build Web-based applications to do business with the eBay platform.

“We’re very excited to be recognized for the quality of our developer program. Building a professional program for our developers is a critical enabler of our strategy to deliver engaging applications to eBay buyers and sellers anywhere they are on the Internet,” said Max Mancini, Senior Director, Disruptive Innovation and Platform Strategy at eBay.
