The Dukes of Hazzard TV star John Schneider was scammed by a phoney bidder on eBay’s internet auction.
Schneider made headlines when he sold the General Lee for near 10 million..
However, William Fisher, who placed the winning bid has failed to pay the hefty price tag, reports TMZ.
Schneider has lodged a formal complaint with eBay and a spokesman for the actor said he was “looking into his options”.
“We cannot calculate the point where legitimate bidders would have topped out if it were not for fraudulent bidding, but it seems to have been in the range of [US]US$5 million (US$6.8 million),” the spokesman told TMZ.
