Miami Vice Boat for auction on eBay

Published December 1st, 2006

A piece of television boating history was recently put up for auction on the online auction site eBay. Bidding is now open on the famous Chris-Craft 390X Stinger used in the first season of the 1980s cult favorite “Miami Vice.”

The boat was driven by Don Johnson several times on the show and was featured on the cover of Motor Boating & Sailing magazine alongside Johnson. The blue and white speedboat is 39 ft. long and was originally sold in 1984 for $136,000.

Since the show, she has spent most of her days berthed at Coronado Yacht Club or Coronado Cays Yacht Club.

Restored earlier this year, some of the boat’s features were upgraded, including new interior carpet and exterior seats in the same fabric as before, a custom-made triple axle trailer and completely rebuilt TRS drives.
