PayPal Agrees to Simplify User Agreement

PayPal has made an agreement with 28 U.S. state attorneys general to simplify its user agreement and better inform users about fraud protection. PayPal, owned by online auctioneer eBay, agreed to pay $1.7 million to the attorneys general in California, New York, New Jersey and 25 other states to cover costs of investigations into complaints the states received from users of the service.
