Man gets six years given for eBay auto-parts fraud

A Steuben County man was handed a six-year sentence Friday for making fraudulent online sales of classic car parts, and he must pay $14,000 in restitution.
Gregory J. Long, 48, was convicted Feb. 24 of corrupt business influence, a Class C felony, and two counts of theft, Class D felonies.
For the first charge, Superior Judge William Fee sentenced Long to eight years in prison, with two years suspended and six years to be served.
Long also must serve six years for the theft counts, concurrent with the sentence on the first count, for a total of six years served, Fee said. Long is eligible for work release and will receive credit for 134 days already served, Fee said.
