eBay’s PayPal opening Arizona facility

Ebay Inc. subsidiary PayPal said Tuesday it will open a new facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., with plans to hire hundreds of technical workers.

PayPal allows users to send and receive payments through the Internet using an e-mail account. The company plans to hire the workers within the next year for the technical development center. The company did not say when the center would open. PayPal already operates from locations in San Jose; Omaha, Neb.; and Dublin, Ireland.
