Ebay and Tom Online To Launch Mobile Auction Service

The world’s largest online auctioneer eBay signed with Tom Online to launch a mobile shopping service, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
Under the agreement, Tom Online will provide the systems and equipment needed to support the mobile-phone bidding service.
eBay is trying to win market shares from China’s most-used online auction site Taobao.com, a unit of Alibaba.com, the report said.
Referring a governmental data the report said China has near 111 million Internet users at the end of 2005, second after United States.
