Ebay China said it will launch online stores in cooperation with 70 premium brands in China.

The selected brands will include Phillips, Epson, Disney, TCL and Adidas, Ebay China said in a statement.

The online stores will focus on consumer electronics, communications products, fashion-related products, and home furnishings.

‘Brand enhancing and international trade will be our focus over the next few years,’ Ebay China’s chief executive, Wu Shixiong said.

Ebay’s chief rival in China, Taobao.com, last week launched a similar service, with companies such as Motorola, Nokia, Qingdao Haier and Lenovo agreeing to sell their products on Taobao.
