Thieves selling loot on EBay

McAllen Police say they busted two men pulling mirrors off SUVs in the La Plaza Mall parking lot.
Men were offering to buy stolen mirrors, and them selling them online. Officers got the suspect’s EBay username and matched the stolen mirrors to the ones in the auction.
McAllen Police Sgt. Joel Morales said, “It’s not as easy as you may believe but transactions are traceable on the computer and all it takes is getting the ball rolling.â€
Police say it is hard for an EBay customer to get in trouble for buying stolen goods, but they do advise you to make sure you are buying a legitimate product. If it sounds too good to be true, it should raise a red flag.
